About RoAnn Costin

After she received her bachelor of arts in government from Harvard University, RoAnn Costin began working as the director of district offices for former Congressman Michael J. Harrington. She later served as an executive assistant to the dean of Harvard Kennedy School and joined State Street Research & Management as a portfolio manager once she earned her master of business administration from Stanford University. During her six years at the latter company, RoAnn Costin comanaged $200 million in pension fund accounts and provided research analysis for finance, banking, consumer, and publishing stocks.
RoAnn Costin then functioned for three years as the senior vice president of Putnam Investments, where she helped manage the US equity portion of the Putnam International Fund and overhauled the firm’s research process and products. She has served as the managing director of Wilderness Point Investments LLC in Massachusetts since 2005. In this capacity, she has directed investments in consumer nondurable product and retailing companies that include Genuine Health International, Lululemon Athletica, and Sarah Flint.
In addition to her professional pursuits, RoAnn Costin has held posts on several nonprofit boards throughout her career. She presently belongs to the board of trustees for Perkins School for the Blind and the American Repertory Theater. In the past, she was affiliated with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, USA Water Polo, and the Paul Taylor Dance Company.
